The Story Behind the Studio
Marina discovered pottery during a study-abroad semester in Portugal over a decade ago. What started as a casual hobby quickly became an obsession. She moved back to Lisbon, set up a small studio, and has been throwing clay ever since.
Her work draws inspiration from coastal Portuguese ceramics and contemporary minimalism. Every piece reflects careful attention to form, function, and finish. Whether you’re buying a mug to use daily or commissioning custom dinnerware for your restaurant, Marina brings the same thoughtfulness to every project.
Today, Marina teaches weekend classes because she believes the joy of working with clay shouldn’t be reserved for professionals. Her students range from curious tourists to local hobbyists, all discovering that the wheel is a meditative, creative, and surprisingly forgiving teacher.
